About Freedom Adventure Park

Freedom Adventure Park Canal Walk is the second Freedom site in Cape Town, following Freedom Tokai which opened in 2020 and featured a DodgeAttack. Building on the success of this local park, Owner of Freedom, Jonathan Goosen, turned his attention to a new site in a central location with high footfall and mixed demographic. Recognising the importance of including a variety of attractions, Canal Walk was built around three Rugged Interactive attractions, alongside a sports court, Hi-Lines Rope Course, Leap of Faith Airbag, go-karts, and extreme slides.

Ideally located in the heart of Century City’s Canal Walk Shopping Centre, Freedom Adventure Park benefits from heavy footfall from shoppers, with 60% of customers being walk ins. Award Winning Indoor Play

In  their first year of operation, Freedom won the Canal Walk Excellence Retail Award for 2024, beating 400+ stores in the category! Freedom was recognised for being the most impactful and engaging venue in the shopping centre.

Freedom values the experience of both kids and adults, even offering office work pods for parents to use whilst their children play, and a cafe with healthy options.

Customer-Focused Collaboration

To bring Freedom Adventure Park’s goals to life, our gamification experts collaborated closely with the installer, The Play Company, and the owner of Freedom, to create a successful venue for stakeholders and customers alike.

The aim: To offer a premium, all-in-one indoor adventure park experience to people ages 1-100, with a big focus on interactive play, high-quality food and beverage offering, and themed parties.

The result: A 26,000 square foot (2,420 square meters) venue with a mix of adrenalin-pumping activities and interactive games, alongside party rooms, a café and restaurant, work pods, and toddler area, nestled right in the centre of Canal Walk Shopping Centre.

We work with park owners from across the globe, all with unique objectives to bring indoor play to their customers. By taking time to understand the owner’s vision, the needs of the customers and the local market, alongside trends in the market, we personalise our recommendations and work together to bring engaging indoor fun to customers.
